With its latest Uncarrier event, T-Mobile appears to be thanking its subscribers for continuing to choose the wireless carrier’s services over its rivals (especially Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and Sprint). For instance, Uncarrier 11 delivers T-Mobile Tuesdays, a new mobile app (available for both Android and iOS users) that basically allows customers to receive a free medium two topping Domino’s pizza, a small Wendy’s Frosty, and a VUDU movie rental every week as long as it is on a Tuesday. The freebies will be made available to T-Mobile subscribers under any active T-Mobile monthly rate plan, including postpaid, prepaid, and business customers. Also, every line of service included in a subscriber’s T-Mobile account is eligible to claim the T-Mobile Tuesdays free stuff.
On top of all that, the T-Mobile Tuesdays mobile app will also grant a surprise giveaway each week. The first one is due tomorrow, and it comes in the form of a free ticket to the movie Warcraft, which comes out in theaters this week. Next week, T-Mobile subscribers will be treated with a free Lyft ride up to $15. June 21st will feature a free $20 gift card for MLB.com, while June 28th will deliver a whole year’s subscription to Bon Appetit magazine. And that is not all -- the T-Mobile Tuesdays mobile app will also allow customers to join special promos that offer prizes such as a trip to Major League Baseball All Star Week and a $10,000 shopping spree at the Big Apple. As for those social media enthusiasts, if they share images of their T-Mobile Tuesdays freebies using the hashtag #GetThanked, they will get themselves a chance to win even more free stuff, such as a Domino’s pizza party or free Lyft rides for a whole month.
Another integral part of Uncarrier 11 is Stock Up, an initiative that sees the third biggest wireless carrier in the United States reward its subscribers with stock in T-Mobile. Customers who currently hold primary accounts on postpaid voice accounts can get a free share in T-Mobile, with subscribers earning up to an additional 100 shares in the wireless carrier if they refer other people to T-Mobile. For every customer a user refers to T-Mobile, that user will get an additional share in the carrier. Long time customers of T-Mobile also get more shares, especially those who have been with the carrier for at least five years, getting a couple of shares for every customer they refer.
To be able to claim their free share of T-Mobile stock, interested customers will be required to create an account at Loyal3. The free stock can then be claimed by way of the T-Mobile Tuesdays mobile app mentioned earlier. As for current T-Mobile customers, they can claim their stock between June 7th and June 21st of this year. New T-Mobile customers are given a couple of weeks post activation to claim their free share.
And one more thing -- T-Mobile has also decided to boost the free GoGo in flight text messaging feature that it debuted in September of 2014. Beginning June 13th, all subscribers of T-Mobile will be able to make use of iMessage, Google Hangouts, WhatsApp, and Viber, absolutely free of charge with GoGo. Furthermore, customers will also enjoy a free sixty minutes of inflight GoGo Wi-Fi usage on their handsets on each GoGo flight.
