Snap (formerly known as Snapchat) had only made its Spectacles available via pop up stores and vending machines across the United States. But this week, the company is finally offering its glasses through its new online store. By visiting this page, interested parties can purchase a pair of Spectacles in three color options -- namely, black, blue, and orange -- for a retail price of $129. Facebook recently announced that its users can now send money to their Facebook friends completely free of charge through the newly enhanced Messenger app. That is, if they have already connected information from their MasterCard or Visa debit card accounts.
Snapchat gets a little help from Alibaba. Well, it does not exactly qualify as "little" when the deal involves millions of dollars. It has been confirmed that China-based e-commerce giant Alibaba is investing $200 million in the startup company.
