Back in September, a third case of a OnePlus device exploding was reported. The device that reportedly exploded was the OnePlus Nord 2 5G. Today, we’re getting another report of a similar incident in India. This time, the model that exploded out of the blue is the OnePlus Nord CE. Unlike the previous report, no one was hurt in the incident.
The owner of the said device turned to Twitter to share photos of his burnt OnePlus Nord CE. According to Dushyant Goswami, he was pulling out his phone from his pocket when it suddenly exploded.
The tweet was deleted shorty, but here is a copy of the text acquired by another report:
“I own phone from very popular brand ONEPLUS, which promises the best quality. My phone is only 6 months old & it literally blasted yesterday, while I just pulled it out from my pocket. It’s not only bad but fatal. Is brand gonna answerable 4 the accident?”
According to PhoneArena, the device user was unharmed during the incident. He was also contacted by OnePlus and offered a replacement device. This just might be why he deleted his tweet. Instead of the original tweet, Goswami said:
“Thank You Everyone for the support. Yesterday at 8 pm Oneplus team called me and promised me that they will send a new unit by Tuesday.”
This tweet has also been deleted.
If the tweet is true, however, it will be the first time that OnePlus will allegedly be replacing an exploded model.
