AT&T has increased prices on some of its older plans.
Earlier today, Ma Bell made headlines as it raised prices on its Unlimited and Mobile Share plans. As reported by The Verge, the increase can be up to $6 per month on single plans and up to $12 per month on family plans.
AT&T spokesperson Seth Bloom had this to say about today’s price increase: “We are encouraging our customers to explore our newer plans which offer many additional features, more flexibility for each line on their account, and in many cases, a lower monthly cost.”
As of this writing, AT&T has not published the list of plans that will be affected by this price increase. But the carrier already started sending out a bill message and email to affected customers.
The email also contains information about AT&T’s current plans that can help customers save money each month.
The new pricing will go into effect beginning June 1st.
