It looks like Dish Network is keeping its promise that it will be launching Boost Infinite service later this year.
As spotted by Wave7 Research, a Boost Infinite display was spotted inside a Boost Mobile store in Aurora, Colorado. This was also confirmed by a Dish spokesperson, who said that the service is being sold on a trial basis at that location.
“Currently, we sell Boost Infinite in one Boost Mobile store as a store-within-a-store concept.”
Wave7’s Jeff Moore was told by his sources that a broader launch is expected to happen soon.
Dish introduced its Boost Infinite service last December. This is a postpaid plan that has an “exclusive early access” price of $25 per line per month, which already comes with unlimited talk, text, and data for life. Once the subscriber goes over the 30GB data consumption in one month, his data speeds will be reduced.
One reason why Boost Infinite hasn’t rolled out yet is because Dish is still waiting to secure availability of iPhone devices for the service. Even though Boost Mobile sells iPhone devices, Boost Infinite will make use of Dish’s stand-alone (SA) 5G network.
Dish continues to operate Boost Mobile as a prepaid brand. Customers can continue to buy Boost Mobile’s products at its retail partners, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Dollar General, and Kroger.
