Back in January, there were reports that a network provider would be making its way to Walmart. At that time, many couldn’t help but think that this would be Consumer Cellular. Today’s report proves this rumor to be true.
Wave7 Research earlier confirmed that the T-Mobile and AT&T MVNO will slowly be launching in select Walmart stores. Along with the rollout, the network provider has unveiled an exclusive offer for Walmart shoppers.
As reported by BestMVNO, new customers who sign up for a Consumer Cellular account via Walmart will receive $50 in account credits. This is an increased bonus compared to the $25 account credits being offered to sign-ups via Target or Consumer Cellular directly. The credit is available to both switchers and existing customers who add a new line of service to an account.
While the $25 account credit offer is set to end on March 31st, there has not been any date specified for the $50 account credit offer. It will be applied to the customer’s account via monthly bill credits of $5 ($25) and $10 ($50) for five months.
