Google is finally gearing up to bring Android 13 Go Edition to lower-cost smartphones. With this, affordable devices will have access to Material You.
This is the first time that basic devices will get to experience Material You. This design language will give users the ability to change color themes that match their wallpaper.
In addition to Material You, Android 13 Go Edition helps devices stay up to date. The OS version adds Google Play System Updates that will help make sure users get important patches without waiting for the phone manufacturer to release one. This will help clear up security flaws right away. The limited storage on budget phones will also be helped by Android 13 Go Edition.
Unfortunately, Android 13 Go Edition phones won’t be available anytime soon. They will be released in 2023. Still, this is a welcomed change that users will be more than happy to wait for.
