After a series of tests, Google has unveiled the third beta build of its latest Android OS, Android 13. The beta build is currently available for supported Pixel devices.
Google shared that it will release another beta in July before it will roll out the final version of Android 13 OS. The OS update is expected to be released sometime this fall. However, only supported Pixel devices will be getting the update upon release.
With the third beta build, Google has focused on Platform Stability for Android 13. This is a stage where all app-facing behaviors in both the OS and APIs will be final. As explained by GSMArena, this is a stage when most app developers start making their apps compatible with Android 13. This is because they know that the platform will no longer change until the final release.
Once Google finally releases Android 13 to the public, users can expect to enjoy more privacy, security, and productivity. The OS also brings better support for tablets and devices with large screens. The OS update also comes with a new notification permission as well as a newly designed photo picker that can be used for sharing. The update also brings themed app icons, per-app language support, and support for Bluetooth LE Audio, HDR video, and MIDI 2.0 over USB.
