Last week, AT&T already initiated its 3G network shutdown. And just before the weekend, there were reports that some previously approved devices were affected. Today, Adam Wolf of NWIDA shares that his own device has encountered issues.
According to the report, there are certain devices that are having issues with the 3G shutdown. Last week’s report showed that some previously approved 3G phones were affected by the shutdown. But it looks like the problem has expanded to other LTE phones.
Wolf says that his iPhone 12 encountered a problem. All outbound calls encountered a Call Failed notification. Meanwhile all inbound calls went to voicemail directly.
Unlike the earlier report, however, Wolf was lucky to have gotten in touch with an inbound Customer Support representative right away. In his case, his phone simply needed an update. Other customers reportedly had trouble getting through the numerous calls to customer support.
Thankfully, AT&T has been notified of the issue and has already started to work on a fix.
