Google has been working hard at making its latest OS update stable. And true enough, Android 13 OS is already in its beta testing phase. With this, the final stable version could be released by July or August.
But according to reports, it looks like one Pixel user got his device updated to the latest OS by accident and ahead of the release.
As reported by PhoneArena, the user of the Pixel 4 device had his phone updated to the OS version TP1A.220603.002.A1. The device in question, however, has not been signed up for the Beta for Pixel program. He simply received a notification to update his device to Android 13 before doing so.
Since the OS is still in beta testing, there were some features that did not work properly. One of these is Google Pay. A theory about what caused this to happen is that the Android 13 version received by the user was a beta variant dedicated to one of Google’s employees. Hopefully, the user is able to switch back his phone to a functioning OS.
With Android 13 slated for release this year, the devices that are said to be part of the initial rollout include the Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro.
