Google’s Switch to Android app is now available to other Android devices. This app makes it easier for iPhone users to transfer data to an Android device.
As revealed by Engadget, the app now works on all devices running Android 12 OS. Prior to today’s change, the app was only compatible with Pixel smartphones.
If you are switching to Android, all you need to do is to connect your device to an old iPhone using a Lightning to USB-C cable. There is also an option to link both devices over Wi-Fi. Once the two have been connected, you simply choose the data you wish to transfer. The app allows you to transfer messages, contacts, photos, videos, music, and other apps.
After that, you’ll be all set to use your new Android smartphone.
