It looks like Sprint MVNO Twigby is moving on from its network partner. Unlike the other Sprint MVNOs who adapted to T-Mobile’s network, Twigby plans to do things differently.
As revealed on their website, the MVNO shares that the new Twigby will allow customers to use “service on the largest, most reliable nationwide network.” Twigby also shares that the decision to move to Verizon’s network comes from the numerous requests of its customers to use the network for talk, text, and data. And now, it appears that Twigby customers will solely be able to use this network.
Although Twigby did not explicitly state which network they are going with, the tagline “The nation’s largest, most reliable nationwide network” has long been affiliated with Verizon. Due to contractual agreements though, Twigby is not at a position to disclose which network they will be using.
So what does this move mean to existing Twigby customers? Right now, Twigby says that there is nothing you need to do just yet. The phone, phone plan, and pricing you are currently using will continue to work and will not change. Although they are working hard to implement the new network, it does not mean an immediate cutoff for Sprint-compatible devices. Instead, there will be a gradual transition with lots of updates. Twigby says that your device will continue to work on Sprint’s network until the end of 2021.
Twigby promises that they will inform their customers ahead of time to make sure service will not be affected.
