Just days after Dish Network experienced a systems error in its internal communication, Verizon Wireless reported some issues they are experiencing too.
According to The T-Mo Report, Verizon is currently having issues in activating devices and porting out of the carrier. This comes from Reddit users who shared they are experiencing serious delays in activating devices and lines on Big Red. Some employees of its rivals, T-Mobile and AT&T, have also confirmed getting stuck in the middle of Verizon’s migration process. Plus, there are some customers who have encountered issues when making feature and plan changes both in-store and online.
There are also some customers who have reportedly lost service when they browse their upgrade options online. And even if they call support, they are unable to have the issue fixed.
This was then confirmed by Verizon on their Twitter account.
These issues seem to have started around noon yesterday, February 28th; around the time that news of Verizon’s plan to raise prices on legacy customers was announced. And according to the original report, there are rumors that the problem won’t get resolved until Saturday.
While this is unconfirmed, Verizon advises customers not to make any changes for the next few days, unless it is really needed. These include phone upgrades, plan changes, and just about any change that requires an account modification.
The root of the issue is still unknown at this time.
