Customers always love getting discounts. With the customers of wireless carriers, this can come in the form of an Auto Pay discount. To enroll, you would typically need to link your debit or credit card so you can get a discount on your monthly payments.
It looks like Verizon has made a change on its Auto Pay requirements. As shared by Droid-Life, Verizon will now require customers to sign up a bank account or Verizon Visa Card for the Auto Pay discount to be applied.
To reflect the new change, Verizon also updated its Auto Pay support page. The change reads:
“When you enroll in Auto Pay and paper-free billing using your bank account or Verizon Visa Card, you qualify for a $10/month discount. Your discount will be applied beginning with your next bill cycle after enrollment in Auto Pay and paper-free billing.”
Verizon did not give an explanation on the recent change. But it could be related to the fees that carriers typically pay for every credit card transaction. The change was implemented on February 14, 2024.
