Earlier this month, Google released the September update for Pixel devices. The update fixed some of the July bugs that caused issues on the phone, such as the battery draining problem. This also included a fix for the under-display fingerprint sensor issue on the Pixel 6a that allowed anyone to access the device with their fingerprint.
While most users were able to update their Pixel phone right away, Verizon Pixel 6 series users had to wait for the update to become available. And thankfully, users have finally been able to update their device with the September patch over the week.
If you are a Verizon subscriber and you’re still waiting on the update, you can manually check for one by going to Settings > System > System update. If you are still having problems updating your device, you can opt to join the Android 13 QPR1 Beta. Another option is to wait for the October update, which should be released on Monday, October 3rd.
