Good news to all Samsung customers! You no longer need to reset your device before having it fixed.
Samsung has a new solution for phone repairs and it’s called Repair Mode. This also eradicates the need of having to back up your data and restore it once you get your phone back.
With Repair Mode, all your personal data will be hidden. This includes your photos, messages, apps, and accounts. The only apps that will be visible in your device are the ones that have been installed by default. Technically, it will look like your phone has been reset once you turn on Repair Mode.
