T-Mobile introduced Price Lock a few years ago as a guarantee that it won’t make sudden changes to the price of its plans to existing customers. Unfortunately, it looks like the Un-carrier has made a change to Price Lock.
As reported by The Mobile Report, T-Mobile changed its Price Lock policy on new customers and service changes.
Motorola fans, you’re in for some great news. It looks like the smartphone manufacturer is releasing a new version of its moto g play phone for 2024.
Because of its affordable price, the moto g play phone (2023) hit it big with carriers. And because of this, several wireless carriers and brands have already announced their plans to offer the moto g play phone (2024). On the list of carriers include the following:
AT&T is working on a new 5G Home Internet Gateway of its own.
According to The Mobile Report, the device model that will be available at AT&T is the Sagemcom BGW530-900. This is similar to the T-Mobile gateway model, the Sagemcom Fast 5688W. Both models share the same appearance: a tall, rectangular black box with a power button, two Ethernet ports, an inactive USB-C port, and a 12V power input. The only difference between these two is that the AT&T model has a barrel plug instead of the USB-C Power Delivery on the T-Mobile model.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Verizon subscribers would be eligible for a payout from its $100 million settlement. This was Verizon’s settlement for the allegedly deceptive Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge.
Despite the ongoing payouts, Verizon revealed that it will continue charging this monthly charge to customers. Arstechnica reports that the wireless carrier even has plans to increase the fee in the future.
Ahead of its release, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series has leaked online for a few weeks already. Although the devices are already slated for a reveal on January 17th, one retailer has allegedly started selling the devices.
As spotted by a leaker, Doto (a Mexican retailer) has reportedly started selling Samsung’s newest flagship devices. It’s also possible that they are not yet selling the device but have prematurely set the page to go live.
It looks like Airvoice Wireless is solidifying its name in the wireless industry in 2024. A few months ago, the company opened a couple of retail stores in Houston, Texas. But they also unveiled plans to expand more stores over the next couple of years. In addition to this, the MVNO has unveiled a couple of offers for new customers.
$15/Month for 3 Months
Following the footsteps of Mint Mobile, Airvoice Wireless has a three-month plan for $15 per month offer. Currently, the AT&T MVNO has four plan options available. These include:
AT&T Prepaid has a new wireless plan that looks like one of the plans it used to offer in the past.
As detailed by BestMVNO, the new plan comes with unlimited talk, text, and 30GB of data for $50 per month. If you enroll in AutoPay, you get a $10 discount, which means the plan only costs $40 per month. Taxes and fees cost extra.
The plan also includes talk, text, and data usage in Mexico and Canada as well as international texting to more than 230 countries. The catch is that hotspot is prohibited in the plan. And if you stream video, it will be limited to 2Mbps.
There will come a day when Physical SIM cards will be a thing of the past. Although we’re not quite there yet, we’re slowly inching a bit closer to that day.
Following the footsteps of Apple’s iPhone 14 series, Google is working on shifting towards eSIM technology. As reported by 9to5Google, the tech giant could introduce a built-in eSIM conversion tool for its Pixel devices.
The report talks about the specific measures that Google is taking to prepare a dedicated conversion tool, which were found in the recent Android 14 QPR2 Beta 3 update. The update to its SIM Manager app contains several references to eSIM conversion.
