Verizon Wireless has a new affordable plan that comes with 5G connectivity. The plan, called Welcome Unlimited, has a pretty big disclaimer.
As shared by PhoneArena, this plan doesn’t qualify as a premium 5G plan since it simply includes the basics. The only thing that allows it to be marketed as such is that it allows unlimited and unrestricted access to Verizon’s 5G network that it touts to be available “nationwide.”
Schok is the latest smartphone manufacturer to offer its devices in the US. They offer mid-range smartphones at budget prices.
The Texas-based company recently unveiled its new device, the Freedom Turbo XL. This device comes with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor with 6GB of RAM, 128GB onboard storage, and memory expansion via a microSD card.
Camera-wise, the device has a 48-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. In front, there is a 24-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The rear camera has an RGB Halo lighting effect known as Schok mood control. This feature is unique to the device and acts like a flash for the rear camera.
The new Moto G Stylus 5G will be available on AT&T pretty soon.
To be clear, this is not the same as the old Moto G Stylus 5G or the non-5G Moto G Stylus model. Yes, it’s pretty confusing but they are different models.
As revealed by PhoneArena today, users will be able to get their hands on this smartphone starting July 15th. Originally, it was priced at $300 but you can get the device for $2 per month on a three-year installment plan.
Things are not looking well for the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro series of devices. Ever since these two devices were launched, they’ve had their fair share of problems. The latest, however, comes in the form of dead pixels on the screen.
We’re halfway through the year and there are still a number of new devices slated to be released. The latest smartphone to get FCC certification in the US is Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold4.
As revealed by MySmartPrice, the device was listed down with the SM-F936U model number. The listing reveals that the phone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Gen2 Smart Transmit feature and will have 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network support. This new Smart Transmit feature is said to improve uplink.
Believe it or not– there are still some people who have not given up on their 3G phones. Despite the network shutdowns, some are still hesitant to upgrade their phones to 4G LTE or 5G. And it looks like Verizon has a new promotion to help these customers.
With its scheduled 3G CDMA network shutdown poised to happen at the end of the year, Big Red is now looking for a way to bring over customers who’ll be affected by it. One way that Verizon hopes to address this is by giving out a free 4G flip phone to wireless customers. This way, they won’t lose connection once the 3G network is switched off.
It looks like some changes are underway for the Google Play Store. 9to5Google recently spotted a new change for the logo of the Android app marketplace.
While Google has chosen to keep its signature triangle shape in the logo, some subtle changes have been made. This is so users will still be able to identify the app they are opening even with the minor changes in place.
As noted, the new logo now has more rounded corners. Additionally, the four colors used in the logo now come closer to the colors being used by its parent company, Google. The new logo also appears darker compared to the existing version.
Back in May, Google rolled out an update that fixed a Dirty Pipe Linux vulnerability that gave malicious apps gain control of a smartphone.
