Thinking of getting Samsung’s current flagship device, the Galaxy S6? You might want to check out T-Mobile’s latest trade in deal. The third biggest wireless carrier in America has is offering the deal on a very limited time only, and this deal has T-Mobile offering the Samsung Galaxy S6 device to subscribers for $0 down and $0 a month.
Specifically, mobile users who decided to trade in their existing premium handset for the Galaxy S6 smartphone via the wireless carrier’s Jump! On Demand program will pay absolutely zero dollars upfront and virtually nothing in handset payments over a period of 18 months. That is equivalent to savings of more than $430, which compared to the non-trade in price of $24 a month is definitely not a bad proposition.
In order to qualify, mobile users will have to trade in one of the following eligible smartphones (and the smartphones have to be in good order): the Apple iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 6s Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
What if the customer owns a smartphone not included in the eligible devices listed above? The customer can still enjoy a discounted Jump! On Demand price from T-Mobile for older handsets. As a matter of fact, the wireless carrier is offering the Galaxy S6 for $15 a month for customers who decide to trade in their iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, Galaxy S4, HTC One M9, HTC One M8, LG G4, or LG G3. It should be noted though the discounted pricing will only apply if the customer sticks with their Jump! On Demand lease for the complete 18 month period.
Because Jump! On Demand is essentially a lease option, customer will not actually get to own their Galaxy S6 device when the contract ends, but they can choose to pay the additional Purchase Option Price (normally between $100 to $150) after the 18 month period in order to own the handset as opposed to handing it back to the wireless carrier. Or, they can elect to exchange their Galaxy S6 handset for a new smartphone, then opt to keep leasing month by month, or choose to end their T-Mobile plan.
As for customers who end their plans early, they will have to complete the rest of the payments for their handset, and these will revert to the original $24 a month pricing (even if they are on the $0 a month trade in deal). Plus, they will need to return the Galaxy S6, or be made to pay the Purchase Option Price if they decide to keep the smartphone.
Before we forget -- T-Mobile is actually combining this trade in deal with its free Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Those who purchase the Galaxy S6 are qualified to bundle their handset with the tablet for $0 down and $0 a month, as long as they get a T-Mobile data plan to the tablet for a period of 24 months. The tablet costs $319.99 at full price, but the wireless carrier will waive the $13.34 a month payments over a couple of years for those who decide to bundle. T-Mobile’s trade in deal will run from October 22nd to October 26th so interested parties better take advantage of this now.
