Despite some talk about its possible cancellation later this year (courtesy of another prediction from Apple expert analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities), it can not be denied that the iPhone X had a pretty good holiday season. As a matter of fact, a report recently released by Canalys indicates that there were 29 million units of the iPhone X shipped during the final quarter of last year across the globe, with 7 million of them shipped in China.
And the bugs keep coming. Yet another issue has surfaced in iOS 9, the latest version of Apple’s iOS mobile operating system. This time around, this particular bug makes full use of Siri, iOS’ digital assistant, as well as the pressure sensitive 3D Touch feature in order to allow unauthorized access to saved photos and contacts list on Apple’s current flagship devices, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.
When Apple released its latest iPhone model, the iPhone 6s, the device’s 3D Touch technology was one of the clever new features that was truly innovative. It turns out that Samsung too can play Apple’s game. As reported by the Wall Street Journal, it appears that the South Korean mobile giant is planning to include a pressure sensitive display screen on its upcoming flagship device, the Galaxy S7, which comes out in spring of next year.
Here is some good news for blogging iOS users -- Live Photos taken using the iPhone 6s or the iPhone 6s Plus can now be shared on social media. Well, for starters, it is only on Tumblr for now, so for those users who currently have an account (or are planning to create one) on the blogging platform, they can now begin sharing Live Photos to fellow Tumblr users.
You might have heard by now that Apple has officially unveiled its latest iPhone models -- the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus -- alongside other new products and updates. There is much to get excited about -- the new iPhones feature the new version of the iOS mobile operating system, a new aluminum finish, and other upgrades that should bring some improvements. Others may see the iPhone 6s devices as nothing more than the usual “S” iPhones of past years -- just another new offering that features minor enhancements compared to their predecessors.
